Bath Boy!!!

 Such a face...

Trying to drink the bath water... (he thinks it is funny even though Mommy and Daddy this it is icky!)

ELMO!

Liam got spoiled with Halloween presents from Grandma Roxanne and Papa... He loved his Elmo basket and the Elmo puzzle too!  Oh yeah, both grandparents didn't forget about the m&m's either... Liam thanks you all for those!!!

It's a bird, it's a plane...

No... just Liam dressed up like a cow!  We met Mary and Clancy at the zoo again for their Halloween trick or treating... I don't know which was more entertaining to Liam... trick or treating, seeing Grandma and Grandpa or seeing all the other crazy kids dressed up!  We had a blast...

Grandpa and his grandcow!

Checking out the loot...
 Checking out the fish!
Back view of the cow... tail and all :)
"Mom do I have to stand by this pumpkin?"
Little cow on the big cow!
Dad... let's go!
He had fun!
I just think that face is so precious!
So grown up walking with mommy...
 Getting some good candy!
Of course a little carousel ride to finish the day off right!
Mommy and her little cow!

Carving Liam's First Pumpkin!

Liam carved his very first pumpkin this year (with some Mommy and Daddy help!)
Liam helped mommy draw the face...
Then helped take the top on and off...

 Helped scoop out the 'ickies'
Stirred them up and kept good watch over that bowl!

 'Ickies'

Liam and his pumpkin.  He pointed to all of the face parts!

Catching Up..

We met Mary and Clancy at the zoo in early October... just sitting down to try and catch up on some of the fun times.  You may recall the bunny video... well here is the zoo trip that goes with it!

 Climbing on the fence...

 "Grandma... this is a monkey!"...

Liam picked mommy a flower!

20 Months Old!

Our little Liam is growing so fast...  Here are some highlights of our 20-month old Liam:
  • Run, Run, Run... Liam loves running from the dining room to the front door.  This is a nightly ritual lately.  He runs, we cheer... good times all around
  • Liam is becoming slightly more adventurous with his eating... we have added a few new foods to the repetoire including: apples, carrot sticks, cauliflower (one time he loved it... won't touch it since), fish sticks, tomatoes... hopefully there will be more and more foods to add here
  • Liam continues to love the staples for food: bread, cheese, dips and fruits...
  • He has discovered m&m's and will ask for them and cookies almost everyday
  • He now has two bottom canine teeth (whew... those took forever to break through) and is working on his upper canine teeth now
  • Continues to love books.  His current favorites include, Farmer Joe and the Music Show, the "If you give a ..., then he will want... series, knuffle bunny books, llama books, animal strikes at the zoo.  There are some nights were he will let us pick books, but there are some nights he KNOWS what he wants and will not let anyone pick his books!
  • Saying many two and three word phrases... harder to understand, but his language is blossoming everyday!
  • Is learning to wear mittens and winter hats again...
  • Loves to see diggers on videos and in person
  • Loves, loves his stuffed animals and all animal books.  The zoo ("goo") is the most requested place to go.
  • Still really enjoying school, seems to be manipulating naptime now... I knew it was just a matter of time.  We had our very first 'no nap' at all day last week...
  • Currently is in 2T pants, 3T shirts, 4-5 year old socks and size 7 shoes :)
  • Is understanding so many things... he can, when he chooses, follow 2-3 step directions and LOVES helping out around the house.  He throws things away, takes things to mommy/daddy, puts the laundry in the basket... such a good helper!
  • Has learned many colors.  He understands a few more than he consistently says, but right now he can tell you green, red, yellow, orange, blue, pink, purple, black, brown... it is just simply amazing how much this kid picks up.
  • He likes to 'count' things.  He points, we say the numbers.  He has started to imitate up to three on occassion, but nothing consistently yet.
  • He also is beginning to become very curious about letters and words like his name... pointing to the letters over and over again!
  • He can build high towers all by himself with duplos or blocks... he also can knock them down all by himself ;)
  • He likes to climb and stand in/on things.  Quite often we find him trying to climb into something.  Tonight he was trying to stand in his potty... which he learned was not such a great idea...
  • We are starting to talk about his new house and new room.  We drove by again today and he waved "hi house"... too cute!
  • Liam loves to wave and say "hi school" ('hi gool) and "bye school" (bye gool) everyday... it is adorable!
  • We have had a hard start to the winter with mommy/daddy colds, but Liam has been a trooper.  He has fought off one big cold and now is just hanging on with a few sniffles/coughs.  The ear tubes are still in and thankfully doing a wonderful job!
We are so proud of our 20-month old.  It is so amazing to see him learn, have fun and grow!  We love you Liam!!!

Liam decided that his tooth brush isn't just for teeth anymore. I'll leave it up to your imaginations to figure this one out. Hint - its a body part...

Looking at Pictures

Potty!

Liam got a #2 in the potty this evening - we'll spare you pictures...  Kudos to mom for spotting the Liam pre-pooping face, getting the potty, and getting the diaper off in time - very brave!
