9 Month Checkup!

Liam and I saw Doctor Hanson today for his nine-month checkup. Our pediatrician is out on maternity leave (had a baby boy!), but we have seen Dr. Hanson several times and like her just as much! Here are the stats!

Weight: 20 lbs., 9 oz.: 50th percentile
Height: 29 3/4 inches: 90th percentile
Head: 45.5 cm: 60th percentile

Overall Liam is growing very well! His weight has dropped down a couple of curves, but that is expected since he is moving and playing more. Dr. Hanson was very pleased with everything Liam is doing. Liam is officially off all his reflux medications, which we have weaned over the past few weeks. He now has the go ahead to add in yogurt, which I am sure he will love! She does want to work a bit on his bowel movements... making them a less firm and a bit softer. Her concern is that continued constipation will lead to larger and larger poos... which we do not want! We are going to try some pear/apple juice and see if that helps. If not, we may need to add in some miralax to Liam's diet to keep things moving!

I will try to get some new pictures and video in the next couple days of Liam obsessing about his tongue and 'talking' with squeals!

Video Fixed!

The new you tube format should work now!

More Thanksgiving Fun!

We were up at Mary and Clancy's for Thanksgiving dinner. Grandma Mary made Liam a chica stuffed animal... BIG HIT! We visited with Jon's grandma, his aunt and uncle and Andrew. Liam was a trooper!

We met Lily, Mary's new kitten. So adorable!
Liam has been all tongue lately! He is getting his fourth tooth (on the bottom), which may be the culprit... but he is tongue way out, licking things all the time the last few days!

A weekend of fun!

We didn't seem to get a lot done this weekend, but we have some cute pictures!

Liam woke up with pinkeye on friday morning, so Daddy stayed home for a hour while I ran into an IEP and then I got the rest of the day with my Liam! Doctor said mild eye infection and antibiotic drops cleared it right up in 24 hours! Liam is still fighting a cold: runny nose, buggies, and needs to be sucked out occassionally. I am doing every 'good luck' charm there is... crossing, knocking, etc... hoping we can make it through two days of daycare this week without catching anything else or getting a worse cold... we will see!

Liam is getting a bit closer to moving. If you get him on his hands and knees, which can be a tricky things sometimes, he can hold it and sometimes make forward/backward movement scooting around. He learned from Grandma Roxanne how to back up into a sit, which he now loves doing. The problem is, he has to be just right and needs some assistance... that doesn't go over well in Liam-land!

We went out to breakfast this morning as a family. Man oh man, is Liam ever a ham! He looks all around the restaurant, smiling at everyone. He is a bit offended when there are people who are not talking or smiling at him...

Here are some cute pictures from this weekend!

We tried ground turkey mixed into sweet potato and apples this weekend... Liam liked it!

Helping with the laundry... he's a good folder!

Inventive little boy...

Not so sure the makers of this toy had this in mind... think we can re-market a mouth rattle as the newest muscial instrument craze?

Brushing Teeth

Too cute... new bedtime routine!

Playing with Toys... so proud of himself!

Playing with my toys!

Weekend Fun

Granpa Mike came to visit with Kay this weekend. Liam thought Grandpa's beard was pretty funny!

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Clancy also came to visit with Uncle Andrew. Grandma and Granpa brought Liam a fun new remote and some keys to play with! Liam has a blast with all his visitors (so much more fun than boring mommy and daddy!)

I know, I know... no baby here! Still nice picture though!

Getting better and better

... at feeding himself! Such a serious little boy when he has his mind on something!

Liam's New Favorite

You have to see the reaction in real life, but it is pretty fun! Liam LOVES chica the chicken from Sprout's Sunny Side Up show. She talks in an odd voice, but Liam will stop anything he is doing when he sees her to stare and talk to her on the TV!

36 Weeks Old

Wow... he is getting so big! 36 weeks ago he was just a little tiny baby...

Eating his moose... the moose lost the battle. He ended up being thrown from the chair...

This week's happenings...

Liam appears to be over his cold (YEAH!!! - fingers crossed, knock on wood, throw salt over shoulder, etc...). Unfortunately the side effects of the antibiotics were coming on strong this week...

"Liam pooped through"

Granpa Dave stopped by to see Liam this Friday at daycare, which I think both Liam and Dave enjoyed. They both had a lot of fun playing and eating together! Grandpa got to witness just what a poo explosion looks like by the way...

Liam is eating lots of new foods now. We have added grape, plum, banana, whole wheat cereal, rasberry, butternut squash (a new favorite!), potato, and probably some more I am forgetting about! Liam is also starting to eat some puffs (not a big hit yet...) and he is beginning to feed himself his banana rice crackers!

It is getting colder and colder out (yeah I know... it's November!), so we had to break out the 'winter coat' instead of just a fall coat. This winter coat was a bit big yet... back in the closet with that one! Luckily we have more to choose from and Liam is both warm and safe from being eaten by his jumbo coat!

No new teeth yet... still gnawing on everything, making me think there are teeth under there just waiting to spring out!
