Wonderful Surprise

Although this is only indirectly Liam related, I had to post!

My mom sent me these beautiful flowers to work today - a completely wonderful surprise in the middle of an incredibly hard week! Missing my boy because of back-to-back night conferences and just feeling so ugh about work... I only hope I can be as good of a mom to Liam on the days he really needs it (even when he is "all grown up")

Morning Cuteness

Liam typically wakes up in the morning with a few grunts and then a quiet, muffled "I'm awake" or "Momma, I'm awake now"... every once in awhile we get a "daddy, I'm awake" (those days I kick Jon to get out of bed and get the liam... ahh, five more minutes!

This morning, however, we were greeted with something new at 6 am!  Liam woke right up signing the wheels on the bus... at least 4 verses of it... in tune and with all the words! 

He really is growing up so big... just can't believe it sometimes!  Just love that kid!

A little hike

We took advantage of the crisp fall weather and met Jon's parents outside of Sheboygan to go for a hike.  Andrew made the trek from Madison out to Sussex and tagged along for the toddler car fun as well!  Liam loved the beach and LOVED, LOVED the boardwalk hike.  He pretended he was an engine the entire time... couldn't have been more perfect for him!  We finished our hike with a wonderful breakfast at a little french restuarant in downtown Sheboygan.  Great day!

 

Zoo Run Run



Several weeks ago we met Andrew and Sam at Madison's Zoo for the Zoo Run Run.  It was a lot of fun!  The zoo is a free zoo and it honestly knocked my socks off!  Liam now refers to the Madison Zoo as the 'new zoo' and our Milwaukee Zoo as the 'old zoo'.  It was a bit cold, but other than that, a lot of fun!

We have been training Bentley for his new electric fence this past week and Liam has been a great helper! He throws the cheese to bentley! Liam has also used this time to run, run, run! He loves running to the tree and back across his yard... Great fun!

We got this out tonight and all I told Liam is that he can match colors on the picture. He then told me "I no need help, I do myself"

Really, I went to make dinner and didn't think a thing of it until we were cleaning up and this is what we found!
