24 months old... and a few others as well

Ok.  I admit it.  The months have gotten away from me.  I love looking back and remembering different times in Liam's life and this blog is the perfect way to do it.  Only problem is that if I don't post it... I can't remember it.  So, the last few months of monthly pictures have been taken (slightly late!) and this is my attempt to document all the wonderful things about our little Liam :)

Here are some things to remember from the past couple of months:
  • Liam's love of books is truly unquantifiable.  He loves them.  He reads everyday.  He has favorites.  He picks very deliberately and often times likes (well, really demands) that everyone has a particular book to read.  He has his continued favorites and a few new ones which include: Naked mole rat gets dressed; Little Critter's Jack and the Beanstalk; ANY farm book; Go to sleep my love; and others
  • Liam loves his new house.  He plays independently in his playroom at times, rides his car, pushes his grocery cart... pretty much takes over and enjoys the whole house!
  • Baking and cooking.  He loves sitting on the counter and helping!
  • Is almost completely independent on the Ipad and it goes without saying that he continues to teach me things about it
  • Counts to ten unreliably, but can get there.  Says parts of the ABC song.  Loves "dinos are marching", "hands a washing" and other songs right now.  LOVES his music class
  • Cupcakes (CUP-E-CAKES).
  • Loves school.  He can name his friends and usually tell you one thing he did at school.  His favorite teacher is Miss Joni.  He has just moved up to his new classroom (first week of March), which he is settling into nicely.  He just recently started eating noodles and different vegetables in his new room... hoping for some home generalization there :)
  • Favorite toys include: legos, puzzles, coloring, shopping cart and groceries and farm animals
  • He is talking all the time.  Repeating everything people say.  Typically he is now using 3-4 word phrases and is pretty intelligible to mommy and daddy :)
  • PLAYDOH.  Loves.  Cannot get enough.
  • Has recently moved into 3T pants, 4T shirts, size 7 shoes and is growing out of his gap 4-5 year old socks.
  • 24 month old stats: 36 3/4 " tall (95%); wieght 30 lbs 15 ounces (80%); head was somewhere in the 60-80%  Doing fabulously.  Ear tubes still in :)
  • Loves blankies and stuffed animals... alternates between grey puppy, elephant, moo and hop and duck right now.  If he wants to carry a blanket around with him it is almost always his jungle infant blankie.  He loves his blue blankie from ama... a favorite when snuggling in the chair or for the special 'two blankie' nights in his crib!
  • Loves helping... cleaning, shoveling, house projects.  He feeds the dog every night all on his own.  He opens the container... scoops out the food, dumps and closes the container right up.  So adorable.
  • Likes to sit in his fort in the corner of the family room.  He also likes hiding and sneaking.  All good games.  Just tonight he went around the side of the kitchen and yelled "momma... I hiding".  Cute.
  • Talks about his family all the time now.  He loves to recite the list of people who love him "momma love you?" "Dadda love you?" "ama love you" "bapa love you" "grandma grandpa love you?" "uncle love you?"... typically also includes bentley and buckley, teachers at school and a friend or two
  • Speaking of... Liam LOVES Buckley and I think Buckley likes him back a little bit, which is acutally a lot of like for a cat!  Buckley likes to jump up into Liam's chair, snuggle in for a book or two on Liam's blanket at night.  Liam is pretty gentle with Buckley and loves holding him.  Liam likes Bentley, but not his tail.  Pretty understandable.
I know I am forgetting so much... let's just say Liam rocks our world.  He is the best thing to wake up to every morning and the most wonderful thing to snuggle up every night and gives kisses to.  We are so proud of him and in such awe of the things he does everyday!
