Some updated highlights this year included:
*a new vestibule (thanks Mary and Clancy!),
*a queen air mattress for all of us to sleep on at night... no more pack and play!
*a demand for a big boy REI chair
*sampling smores and staying up way too late!
*skipping nap
*taking a hike with Grandpa and Grandma... including a magnifying glass and map reading
*playing diggers and tractors
*new flashlights to play with
*hearing stories about all the fossils Uncle dug up
*throwing rocks into Lake Michigan
*finding spiders, bugs and a couple of walking stick bugs!
All in all, we had a wonderful time camping with Grandma, Grandpa, Ama, Papa, and Uncle! Sunday we set up camp, went to see Jon's grandma for a bit and had a nice dinner. Monday we got up and went to Jon and I's favorite breakfast place in Fish Creek, The Cookery. It was well enjoyed by all! After breakfast we went to The Farm, a petting farm right outside of Sturgeon Bay. Liam liked seeing the baby calf best. He still talks about watching the goat get milked and the kitty Grandma found... "Kitty was soft". After that we went back to the campsite for a nice tent nap while Uncle and Jon went for a long run through the park. With only a small rain shower in the afternoon, we were able to relax and enjoy another nice dinner! We all walked down to the lake after dinnder for rock skipping, rock building and spider finding! Tuesday we got up and headed back down to the lake early to see a big ship coming through the bay. Liam loved it! Liam went for a hike while we broke down camp and then we were all off before lunch.
Liam fought a nap the whole way home, but finally gave in about a half hour before getting home. This marks one of the only times I can remember being able to pick him up from the carseat, take him upstairs and have him keep sleeping... he was one tuckered out kid!

Gotta love this one... crawled into bed the second night and this is how Liam was sleeping... yes, that is the middle finger... and yes, I am sure he had his reasons!
