It is officially summer. Whew. What a year it has been! I am really trying my hardest to just 'be' with the kids this summer. I am already feeling the emotions over Liam's summer school and that he is now going to be in school until he is essentially an adult and where I am always amazed and so proud of him... it just sometimes all creeps up on me. My little baby is such a boy already and my time with him is just so short. My second baby is so active and into everything now it is hard to think back to last summer with my new little baby sleeping on me all the time.
So, this summer, I am trying to put my phone down and just play. Just live through their eyes. I also want to document though as this time is just flying by... so be prepared for posts about the mundane and terrible pictures as I am not snapping all the time. Just a few snapshots and then the phone is away :)
Monday we ran errands, bought Liam a new summer toy (Cabbie and the three smoke jumpers for those that are purchasing things... we've got them!), went on a picnic with Katie, Parker and Brody and then had Ness and Carrie over for an early dinner. Wonderful day... felt like summer!
Tuesday started with breakfast in bed because Liam wanted it and why not! We had a pj morning, played racing in the garage with Papa, did some yoga, went to the library to sign up for the summer book program, realized I CANNOT take Evan to the library without a stroller :), read our very first chapter book (Magic Tree House Series #1: Dinosaurs!) and went to Culvers for an ice cream treat. Evan didn't nap in the afternoon and the house is a disaster (seriously, it is!), but I am working on being ok with that :)
Tomorrow and Thursday do not hold any big plans: cleaning, organizing, outside play time, plumbers coming, reading, relaxing and fun! Liam does have soccer tomorrow: Brown Turkeys... gobble, gobble!
Liam's summer school class starts next week. 8:30 - 11:30 everyday. Liam has an art/project class, then snack, then a 4K classroom time. Evan and I are on transporting duty, figuring out a new nap schedule and snuggling (that boy is really good at that these days!)
