2 months old!

Our little Miles is two months old!

Here are some highlights happening this month:

  • Weight and growth stats coming... (doctor appt on wednesday)
  • He is in 3-6 month clothes, size 2 diapers
  • Smiling at everything!  Loves smiling first thing in the morning.  Loves smiling at his brothers.  Loves showing off his smiles when he is awake and about!
  • Enjoys swinging, sitting in his bouncy seat with vibration, likes being outside, LOVES being in his front carrier!
  • Likes looking at bright animal pictures, faces book, his sphere polka dot toy, ceiling fans, shadows, lights...
  • LOVES playing with his brothers.  They make the silliest noises and jump around - Miles just smiles and coos and gives little laughs to them!
  • Miles is talking a bit more these days - agoo, agee, ga
  • Loves taking a bath!
  • Loves play patty cake with his feet.  He loves staring and talking with adults.
  • He is still eating very well every 2-3 hours during the day and we sometimes see a longer 4-5 mile stretch at night between feedings.
  • He usually wakes up for good around 8 in the morning and goes down for a nap around 9.  This is the one and only nap he will lay in his crib for.  It typically last between 30 - 60 minutes, although it has stretch for longer on occasion.  He usually naps for 3-4 hours in the afternoon, being held or sometimes being put down.  Usually wakes up to feed and then goes right back to sleep.
  • Night sleeping is still hard on everyone.  Miles will be put down somewhere between 9-11 and will/can sleep until 12 usually.  Half the time he is up and restless and half the time he will sleep through for 2 hours.  He hasn't slept much more than that and usually needs to be held, rocked, patted for several hours through the night.  He is not usually very hungry at 12, but sometimes is... At any rate, he is usually eating twice a night, sometimes three times and is needing a lot of comfort still.  Mommy is not getting much sleep.
  • We are still struggling to figure out his intolerance to food.  He has had a consistent stretch the last few weeks of dark green, mucus-filled diapers.  Every once and awhile a normal one will come through, but for the most part he is still quite uncomfortable :(  Currently I am not eating dairy, soy, gluten, egg, nuts.  I am surviving on coconut milk yogurt, gluten free cereals and not much else :/
